Where do you get your grips from?
I make all the grips you see in the Maka Ina grip site. I purchase some blanks from other providers, but I do all the cutting, shaping, sanding drilling, inlays and finishing myself. I prefer working that way as it gives me the freedom to design the grips they way I like them. They have some unique characteristics in some cases, which is not often obvious. Guess my point is, I’d rather have something that is a little different rather than purchase grips that look like everyone else’s.
Do you also accept custom grip request?
Presently, I have enough to keep me busy for awhile and I like to work at my own pace so, the answer is not at this time. There are several excellent custom grip makers and I’d be happy to refer you to them if you so desired. I know these other grip makers and I do not get a return on the referral other than that is what friends do for each other.
